With this post we went on more natural approach in design. We prepared 4 tileable wood textures that can be used nicely for web pages and can be great addition to your graphic library. Textures are 600×600 (300dpi) in size and can be downloaded below or you can get the Photoshop .pat file here.

Tileable grunge textures

Today we prepared a set of tileable grunge textures in 12 color variations. When you import the textures in Photoshop you can change their colors at your liking and can be used very well for photo overlays. When you apply it to the photograph and set the blend-mode to Multiply the design gets a not to obvious grunge effect. You can also use them for texturising brushes (in brush palette click twice on Textures and set the desired texture for your brush) or as a style for fonts or icons or just simply use them as web page backgrounds. The textures are 600×600 (300dpi) in size and can be downloaded below or you can get the Photoshop .pat file here.

Abstract tileable patterns set

This time we prepared an abstract tileable pattern set containing 5 textures and a Photoshop .pat file. The patterns are very colorful and chaotic. How to install a pat. file

A pattern is usually an image that can be tiled seamlessly to create a pattern.
Once you’ve downloaded a pattern, you will have to unzip it first.

Than you have a .patfile that has to be installed in Photoshop in order to use it on your artwork.

Copy the .pat files into:
Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Presets\Patterns

To load a pattern set, first open Photoshop, go to the Patterns palette then click the small arrow in the top right corner and choose “Load Patterns”. Find the .pat file you have just copied to the Patterns folder in step 1, and hit ‘open’. Select ‘Add’ and voila. Next time you open Photoshop, the new patterns will be in the pattern library already…

Free rounded square photoshop tileable pattern set

Tileable doted background pattern

This time we prepared a tileable dotted background set you can use for a web or print project of any kind. The pattern is given in 11 different colors and contains various size circles and dots. We will be putting up more of Photoshop patterns if we will get a good response and if people will like them. If you don’t know how to install a Photoshop .pat file please check the instructions below. For all of you who don’t want to use Photoshop for making your own patterns we prepared 11 high resolution texture variations of the pattern and they will all be available on our Flickr page.
