Free grunge backgrounds
Today i have prepared for you a set of colored backgrounds with a touch of retro. For basic element i used circles, i then set to four different compositions. Then as usual i experimented in Photoshop with applying different gradients, textures, blend modes and styles. I made 4 basic colored backgrounds and extra 4 that were based on the original 4 so you get a better idea of what you can do with these textures. You can change colors, add gradients, experiment with blend modes or just use them as they are now. Posibilities are endless.

40 Free grunge textures
We are adding 40 new high resolution grunge textures to Startextures.com library. These were all photographed on Slovenian seaside ports, fishing harbors and a salt farm. Lots of them are old worn surfaces of decaying boats and none of the textures were modified in any way with Photoshop, so these are natural surfaces with a grungy look. We made about 350 new texture photographs on this trip and these 40 are the first release. You can expect all of them to be available by the end of the month. Enjoy the textures and be creative!

Free metal, wood, nature texture pack
Today we added 71 new high resolution textures to Startextures.com library. You can find them in the metal (24), wood (19) and nature (28) categories. Nature images contain white and colored snowy surfaces, ice and some lakeside birds, metal contains some intensive colored metal surfaces and wood has a nice selection of worn wooden surfaces. Use them in your designs and be creative!

Grunge striped textures
Today we are releasing a pack of 7 grunge striped textures. The textures were made with stacking multiple layers and using various custom made brushes made from selected textures you can find on our free texture website Startextures.com. When the texture layering was done i have decided to add a striped pattern. The stripes were made in Photoshop and saved as .pat file which makes the pattern available in your brushes window. When i was using the brush tool i selected the texture button on my brushes palette which enabled me to apply the random stripe pattern on the texture. And why are the textures green? Because i am anxiously awaiting spring.

Free retro grunge patterns set
Today we are giving away a pack of free seamless retro grunge textures in .jpg format. The repeated pattern was made in Illustrator and applied on a surface in Photoshop. Multiple layers of textures were applied on the pattern to achieve the final look. The textures are free for you to use in your work as you wish.

Free Grunge Wall Texture Pack
Today we added a set of 5 grunge wall textures. Original photos were pictures of plain white walls under different light and shadow circumstances, which where then edited in Photoshop. Multiple layers of added textures were used to achieve the final grungy look of the textures.
