Abstract textures pack

Hello!

Today we prepared 5 abstract textures. They are made in Photoshop from a different selection of textures you can find on our free textures website Startextures.com and using patterns that were posted in some of our previous posts. So the end result is a combination of patterns, textures and different colors. Textures are quiet large, 3000x3000px (300 DPI) and can be downloaded from our Flickr page.

Wrinkled paper sheet seamless texture

After a long and relaxing vacation we are back with a wrinkled paper texture pack. Textures are tileable and mostly in blue shades, but you can change the color as you wish. The files are 600×600 (300 dpi) in size and can be downloaded separately below, or you can grab a Photoshop .pat file here.

386 free textures megapack

Hello

The vacation time has come, and so we are releasing the remainder of textures we had on standby in one go. There was an addition of 386 high resolution textures on our website Startextures.com. We will be away for approximately a month and will be visiting Croatia and Holland. We hope to come back with a large collections of new textures and will be releasing them throughout the rest of the summer and beginning of autumn. The textures are spread through almost all the categories with the largest addition in metal, nature, paper and plastic textures and can be found by following the links below.

With this post we went on more natural approach in design. We prepared 4 tileable wood textures that can be used nicely for web pages and can be great addition to your graphic library. Textures are 600×600 (300dpi) in size and can be downloaded below or you can get the Photoshop .pat file here.

Spring – summer tileable patterns

For all of you who like sunny days, green pastures and colorful flowers we made a spring-summer tileable patterns in bright and shiny colors. There is 8 premade patterns in the set in green, yellow and blue shades. All the patterns are 600×600 (300DPI) in size and can be snatched below. The Photoshop .pat file can be downloaded here.

Free colorful tileable patterns

This time we are publishing a set of 13 colorful patterns that are mostly in blue, yellow and pink color. Patterns are made of elements such as flowers, squares, circles and croses put into interesting combinations. All the textures are 520×520 (300 dpi) in size. You can snatch the premade patterns below or download the Photoshop .pat file here.

By now you should all know how to install a .pat file but if you still don’t please check one of the other pattern sets on our blog and read the detailed instructions there.

Today we are improving one of the least filled sections on our high resolution texture library Startextures.com. 60 new free high resolution skies textures are up for grabs in the skies section of the page. They include a few beautiful sunset pictures, some stormy clouds and in general some of the most beautiful color variations the nature can provide.

Tileable red-blue retro patterns

Hello everyone!

Today we prepared tileable red-blue retro patterns in 8 variations. All patterns are 600×600 (300dpi) in size and can be put to good use for Twitter backgrounds. They can also come in handy for various printing projects or website designs. Options for creativity are always unlimited so we hope you will find them useful. You can download all full size jpeg patterns below (just click on them) or u can get the Photoshop .pat file here.

How to install a pat. file

A pattern is usually an image that can be tiled seamlessly to create a pattern.
Once you’ve downloaded a pattern, you will have to unzip it first.

Than you have a .patfile that has to be installed in Photoshop in order to use it on your artwork.

Copy the .pat files into:
Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Presets\Patterns

To load a pattern set, first open Photoshop, go to the Patterns palette then click the small arrow in the top right corner and choose “Load Patterns”. Find the .pat file you have just copied to the Patterns folder in step 1, and hit ‘open’. Select ‘Add’ and voila. Next time you open Photoshop, the new patterns will be in the pattern library already…

10 high resolution grunge textures

All texture enthusiasts know that in your repertoire there is never enough grunge textures to create our worn and dirty looking work. That is why in today post we prepared 10 high resolution grunge textures. The textures are 2592×3888 (300 dpi) in size and are free to use in your designs.
