5 Tileable background patterns

This time we are publishing a set of 5 colorful patterns that are mostly in bright and dark pink color.All patterns are 530×530px in size and can be put to good use for example Twitter backgrounds. They can also come in handy for various printing projects or website designs. You can change the color as you wish, just open the . jpeg file in Photoshop, ad the desired color, ad the preferred mode and save it as a pattern (Edit-Define Pattern). You can download the premade patterns below or get the Photoshop .pat file here.

How to install a pat. file

A pattern is usually an image that can be tiled seamlessly to create a pattern.Once you’ve downloaded a pattern, you will have to unzip it first. Than you have a .pat file that has to be installed in Photoshop in order to use it on your artwork.

First copy the .pat files into:

Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Presets\Patterns

To load a pattern set, first open Photoshop, go to the Patterns palette then click the small arrow in the top right corner and choose “Load Patterns”. Find the .pat file you have just copied to the Patterns folder in step 1, hit ‘open’ and select ‘Add’. Next time you open Photoshop, the new patterns will be in the pattern library already.

Today we are giving away 6 seamless knitting cotton textures in 6 different shades.Today the colors are not bright, but more calm which suits the uncomplicated and smooth pattern of naturally colored cotton very well. 4 Colored grungy seamless patterns

6 Festive yellow blue pink tileable patterns

Because the spring is just around the corner, and to warm up us a bit i prepared a pack of 6 rainbow colored tileable patterns in yellow, blue and pink color.The textures are made from horizontal stripes and squares that blend from one color to the other. As usual you can modify them yourself by adding textures and colors, just be careful that the patterns remain tileable. 5 Subtle gray patterns

Today’s post is meant for those of you who prefer softer colors and subtle tileable patterns, that are especially nice for softer backgrounds, such as blogs, twitter backgrounds or web backgrounds.We prepared a set of 5 seamless textures in subtle gray tones to complete our previous posts Subtile background patterns and Subtile green patternset. 6 seamless green retro patterns

Today’s post is meant for retro vintage fans and this time its all about gray and green.The patterns are pretty large and so can be used greatly for any print or web project, and if they are to big for your needs, you can always make them smaller, but be careful about scaling to preserve tile-ability. You can also change their color and by using blend mode add a texture of your liking and re-save them as patterns. The seamless textures are 600x600px in size and can be snatched separately below or you can download the entire Photoshop .pat file here.

Beige seamless patterns

Today we made a pack of very simple beige patterns that you can easily change color and direction.The seamless textures are more or less put together from simple geometrical shapes that repeat in different directions. To make them more interesting we added a simple grunge effect. There are 6 patterns in the set and they are 530x530px in size and can be used for base for different backgrounds for web and print projects. 8 seamless hazard danger textures

Like we promised in our previous post, we prepared a pack of 8 seamless hazard danger textures with common black and yellow stripes and weathered surface. I’m sure these can be used to great extent in designs that need a more industrial grunge look. These textures are a bit larger then usual (1000x1000px), mostly because they can also be used for print projects where a higher resolution is needed. Seamless grungy red line textures

Today we prepared a pack of 8 tileable red line textures, that are very useful for construction elements projects, such as road signs and similar.The texture package contains thicker and thinner variations of red grunge lines. You can use transform tool in Photoshop to change the lines direction or you can use Blend mode to add different color shade or structure to the texture. They also come in handy for different web and print projects that demand an industrial look. For all of you, that are just beginning to know your way around Photoshop, we will prepare in our next post a package of black and yellow warning textures and backgrounds that you will be able to use on similar projects.

9 tileable metal textures

We all know how appropriate it is, to have a big library of textures on your computer when you are working on a design project and don’t have the time to make the textures you need yourself.Today’s post contains something for the metal textures fans, that can be used for your web or print projects, business cards, backgrounds, posters or basically anything you can think of. I am aware that there are literally tons of free metal textures out there, but i always say that no two textures are alike, so there is always room for one more free texture.
