Hello everyone!

Today we are giving away 5 free worn colored vintage picture frames you can use in your designs, or to use as a frame for your pictures. By clicking any of the pictures below you will be redirect to our Flickr page, where you can download the original size file in .png format wich means that the frame itself is already in a separate layer so you can easily add your photos to the background of the frame. We have noticed that something strange happens when flicker re-sizes the images, but if you download the original size image it will be without the resizing error. All the frames sizes are approximately 2200px*2700px. The preview files displayed below are only meant as a suggestions to what you can do with them. Everything else depends on your creativity.

Free rust texture pack

Today we added a set of 39 rust textures on our texture website Startextures.com. They were all photographed on an abandoned section of Ljubljana train station. Most of them are parts of old decaying train carts and some have parts of graffiti sprayed over the rusty surface. Downloads are available in 3 sizes and all of them are 300 dpi.

9 Free colored grunge textures

According to Jana’s obsession with colors and her love for the grunge look, she put together 9 textures based on that theme. She used quiet a few of these in her work and she hopes they will come to got use for you too. The method of stacking multiple layers in Photoshop was used to create these textures.

Free Grunge Wall Texture Pack

Today we added a set of 5 grunge wall textures. Original photos were pictures of plain white walls under different light and shadow circumstances, which where then edited in Photoshop. Multiple layers of added textures were used to achieve the final grungy look of the textures. A new category Abstract Textures was added on Startextures.com. 54 new high resolution images were added to the category. Images are either edited with Photoshop to achieve the special abstract look or they were taken directly with the camera in special conditions.

Startextures.com is open for business!

Hello everyone!

After a good 6 months in production Startextures.com¸has opened its doors. I came up with the idea due to my girlfriend’s constant needs for these kind of design material and pictures. She being a designer and photographer herself, and me being a rusty website programmer, i actually didn’t do any decent coding in years so it took me a while to catch up on all the new things, i said, hey, why not make a website of our own, and maybe earn some extra money doing it. It was a long process of photographing and coding. Over 2000 photographs were taken on different locations and then the good ones were chosen and processed for publishing.
